FAQ leopole – Frequently Asked Questions

Find below the answers to the questions we are most frequently asked.

Does leopole generate its own pure water?

leopole is sold with a water purification filter that simply needs to be connected to a standard tap to fill leopole and its two jerrycans with pure water. These 32 liters of water will allow you to clean for over 5 consecutive hours.

Why don’t we recycle the dirty water?

The collected wastewater is heavily loaded with fine, highly polluting particles. Treating it would require advanced technology that would not be environmentally worthwhile, given leopole’s very low water consumption.

Where should the dirty water be disposed of?

The dirty water collected by leopole typically contains heavy metals (lead, cadmium, etc.) and arsenic. It is essential notto dispose of this wastewater in nature (gardens, streets, stormwater drains, etc.), as these pollutants could seep into groundwater. The correct action is to pour the dirty water into the sewage system (toilets, etc.). This way, the wastewater will be directed to treatment plants where, after settling, the pollutants will be properly processed.

What is the maximum height that can be cleaned?

leopole is equipped with an umbilical cable that can be extended up to 25 meters in length. The working height therefore depends on the physical condition and number of operators, the site layout, building architecture, and weather conditions. In practice, we recommend working at a height below 12 meters. Beyond that, very regular rotations of trained and experienced operators should be planned. Operations above 15 meters should be reserved for exceptional tasks. It is worth noting that additional equipment such as exoskeletons and assisted reel booms can improve working conditions.

What is leopole’s water consumption?

leopole consumes about 50 times less water than a traditional pure water brush cleaning system. Using 50 times less water also means 50 times less electricity (in the case of pure water generation by reverse osmosis) or 50 times less resin (in the case of pure water generation by deionizing resin). This represents a saving of over €130 per day.
